Income Incidence

Tax income is the resources that the government collects from citizens by means of its sovereign faculties. Generally speaking, these taxes are directed to the individual or firm incomes, such as the Added Value Tax, the Income Tax, and the Assets Tax.

Mexico is looking for equity in the tax collection and the redistribution of wealth produced in the country. Therefore, it is important to know how the population is affected by tax collection to figure out mechanisms allowing a better income distribution.
