Administrative Reform

The trends in governments have changed-it was previously believed that a strong government was the one with many employees. Today, the efforts are aimed to reduce the bureaucratic apparatus and to improve public services fostering efficiency and effectiveness in public administration. Many countries have made several efforts to improve their public sector administration.

This section presents documents with information related to this issue, ranging from comparisons among countries to reflections specific to the case of Mexico.
